Join Yogamour co-founder, Geni Donnelly, in a series of specialized yoga classes for trauma survivors. This series of classes is designed to re-educate and heal the body and mind through movement, breath and stillness. Geni is certified in Trauma Sensitive Yoga for PTSD founded by David Emerson and supported by Dr. Bessel van der Kolk of the Trauma Center at Justice Resource. She is a registered yoga teacher, certified in Advanced Yoga Therapy, Yoga 4 Cancer and has taught survivors of trauma and PTSD for nearly a decade.

Do you or someone you know experience feelings of anxiousness, anger, irritability or avoidance of people, places or situations? Many of us experience events that impact our perceptions of the world and determine how we interpret and respond to future experiences. Symptoms of trauma can keep us trapped between regret of the past and fear of the future.
Sensitive Yoga for Healing Trauma is designed to befriend,reconnect with and feel empowered in your body. In a safe and predictable environment, you are invited to notice sensations, experiment with movement and breathing, and practice making choices that may be right for you. Learn to become conscience of the workings of your own mind and body without attaching to the stories. In a non-judgmental environment, we will emphasize self-awareness and self-regulation through the techniques of yoga.
