The Heartly House, Inc. is the only organization in Frederick County, Maryland, that is committed to the effort of achieving a society free of violence by providing public education, working for the equality and empowerment of all, and developing and maintaining comprehensive services to survivors and non-offending family members of family violence, rape, sexual assault and child abuse.
Yogamour is honored to be a part of the healing process by bringing Trauma Sensitive Yoga Programs to the Clients who are served by the Heartly House. Yogamour continues to offer donation-based yoga classes, events and workshops to the community to raise funds in an effort to continue these meaningful programs for the Heartly House.
Justice and Recovery Advocates, Inc. is a non-profit organization with a mission to provide support, education, programs and resources for children, families and loved ones of incarcerated, formerly incarcerated, or institutionalized individuals that suffer from mental health and substance use disorders.
Yogamour will be partnering with Justice and Recovery Advocates, Inc. and other health care providers in an effort to bring yoga, educational and mindfulness programs to the families and loved ones of incarcerated and formerly incarerated re-entering main stream society.
On Our Own Frederick is a mental health consumer education and advocacy group that promotes equality in all aspects of society for people who receive mental health services and develops alternative, recovery-based mental health initiatives. The members promote recovery, wellness and peer support in an environment of understanding, advocacy and education to past or present recipients of mental health services.
Yogamour's qualified teachers have been offering yoga and mindfulness classes to OOO Frederick in a supportive and safe environment. These classes has proven to be effective and meaningful to the participating members. You can be a part of this movement as these classes are open to the public. The Arc of Frederick County provides individually designed support services and collaborates with the community to build inclusive programs for adults and children with developmental disabilities. Founded by parents in 1958 because community programs for children and adults with disabilities did not exist, The Arc continues to provide advocacy efforts and the creation of new services for families today.
Yogamour will be offering therapeutic chair yoga classes at the ARC building located at 555 South Market Street in Downtown Frederick. Chair yoga is a program that benefits those with limited mobility which would include office workers who sitting at a deck bound job for most of the day. This form of yoga utilizes the chair as a prop to align, enhance and support yoga postures. This is a practice open to ALL Levels of experience from the beginner to the regular yoga practitioner who would like to experience proper anatomical alignment.
Our organization will have the honor to offer yoga classes to the members of the Arc Community. This yoga practice allows those with disabilities and limitations to embrace yoga poses in the most therapeutic manner while learning to anchor into the breath through the sensations of mindfulness and balance.
Open Minds, Inc. is a community resource for facilitating mindfulness education. Promoting Respect for all People and their Health and Happiness: Open Minds believes that people deserve to learn techniques that will help them make choices to relieve stressors in all environments, fostering a more healthy, positive, and productive lifestyle.

The Common Market Co-op is a community-owned natural foods grocery store serving Frederick and the surrounding area. The Co-op features a café with a juice and smoothie bar, Fair Trade organic coffee bar and a great selection of sandwiches. The Common Market also offers fresh cut meat and ocean friendly seafood and carries a wide variety of products in our wellness department to support a healthy lifestyle. The Co-op works with local farmers and producers to provide consumers with the highest quality, freshest food available and to keep local farms and businesses in our community.
Yogamour has partnered with The Common Market Co-op in offering Donation-Based yoga classes to participant on the first Sunday of every month from 8:30 to 9:30am. Always nice to do a little morning yoga followed by a yummy breakfast in the café, and shopping organic local food!
Flying Dog Brewery is a craft brewery located in Frederick, Maryland. Founded in 1990 by George Stranahan and Richard McIntyre, it is the largest brewery in Maryland. In terms of production, Flying Dog Brewery is king of Maryland's craft brewing world.
The brewery promotes community involvement, and has thereby partnered with Yogamour. The Flying Dog hosts GIVE BACK YOGA CLASSES every Sunday from 10:45 to 11:45am. Donation costs for the class includes a signature beer!
