Finally! We are Opening Our Doors!
Hello Yogamour Community!
We are pleased to announce that next Friday on the 16th of June we are officially able to re-open. We are bursting with joy knowing that we will be able to meet in person again. With that being said this is going to be a process figuring out how to make sure we are doing our best and we appreciate your support as we continue to adapt together. We are keeping the option for most classes to be Live Streaming for anyone who's not comfortable or able to venture out at this time. We will be limiting the capacity of participants at the studio, so if you can’t get into a class, you can still register for Online Live Streaming. We are fully committed to bringing yoga to EVERYONE!
During these challenging times, we feel that is is important to revisit the Yogamour’s mission and vision as a local and global non-profit organization. We have been busy trying to adapt our outreach programs so that we are able to continue bringing the healing aspects of yoga and mindfulness to our more vulnerable friends in the community. We're grateful for your support as we have been able to provide global outreach to those in-need in India and Thailand. We have also been working on another facet of our non-profit vision. We are launching into motion more scholarship funds for our 40 Hour Trauma Informed Yoga & Leadership Training. This is an online and in-person immersion created for yoga teachers, therapist and wellness professionals. We feel strongly that this training is more important now than ever and we would like to make this training available to ALL who are interested and feel strongly. Graduates from this training have the opportunity to work with the Yogamour Outreach Team or in their own communities with our support.
For the past 3 months our platform has been almost solely Online Streaming which has been offered at a fraction of the normal cost for class. Of course, as we have all felt the effects of these unusual times, the Yogamour Studio has been financially effected as well. We want to take an opportunity to thank the community that has been supporting Online Classes! Because of you, we are able to REOPEN! We would also like to offer heartfelt gratitude to our hard working yoga teachers and volunteers who have continued to bring you quality classes while working on a fraction their monthly incomes or for free! It is beautiful to see this deep commitment and selflessness as these teachers and volunteers have continued to hold space for all of us!
In many ways, we are grateful to have be able to expand and learn from this experience. And as a gentle reminder, we will continue to have our Community Food Bank in front of the studio for donations. Know that you are loved and we continue to hold space for all of you virtually and in-person!
Lead with your heart,
Beccah and Geni
