Feelings of anxiety or nervous tension are extremely common. Anxiety can feel like a racing mind, a churning stomach, or tightness in the center of our chest. For men, there are customary strategies for handling anxiety and stress: ignore it, power through, have a drink, smoke a bowl, pop a Valium, seek sexual gratification.
This workshop presents men with tools for moving beyond merely suppressing anxiety and towards mastery over our experiences. As a team, we will explore body-focused and mind-focused approaches for directly grappling with anxiety, processing the feelings underneath, and releasing emotional energy in more responsible ways.
