In this 90-minute workshop, you’ll explore the intimate relationship between breath, the nervous system, and your lived experience of stress and ease. We’ll break down pranayama in an accessible, trauma-informed way, focusing on simple, effective practices you can actually use in real life, not just on the mat. Through guided pranayama, mindfulness, and gentle reflection, you’ll learn how to support nervous system regulation, improve focus, and respond more skillfully to overwhelm. This workshop is designed for all bodies and all levels of experience, with choice and adaptability woven throughout. You’ll leave with practical tools, a deeper sense of agency, and a clearer understanding of how your breath can be a steady anchor in daily life.

Sunday, April 12 and May 17 | 12:30 to 2:30pm | $59 ($85 for both)
Whether you're stepping onto the mat for the first time or have years of practice behind you, this immersive experience invites you to slow down, go deeper, and reconnect with the foundations of breath and subtle body awareness. Together, we’ll explore the history of pranayama (breath liberation) through its roots of the ancient yogic texts while also looking at modern science and anatomical insights into the breath, bridging old and new with curiosity and clarity.
April 12 will be more focused on science and anatomy, and May 17 will be more focused on subtle body connection (think more sensation than science). This experiential training offers space to learn, question, integrate, and embody the teachings in your own way. Expect a nourishing blend of lecture, guided practice, and reflection. You’ll receive a deeper understanding of pranayama, a renewed connection to your breath, and practical tools to support your practice and teaching.
2 or 4 CEUs available.

Saturday, May 9 | 12:30 to 8:30pm | $125 ($99 for RYT)
This 8-hour training day introduces practical anatomy for yoga teachers in a clear, usable way. We’ll focus on the basic concepts that help you understand how bodies move in yoga. We’ll review simple anatomical language such as anterior and posterior, medial and lateral, and superior and inferior. We’ll explore the three main planes of movement: sagittal, frontal, and transverse, and connect them to common yoga poses. We’ll also look at basic joint actions like flexion, extension, abduction, rotation, and lateral tilt. Students will learn the main parts of the spine, how major muscle groups support movement, and how joints are designed to move and where their natural limits are. We’ll also review movements of the shoulder blades, including protraction, retraction, elevation, and depression, to support healthier shoulder mechanics. The goal is to give students a simple framework for understanding movement so anatomy becomes a helpful teaching tool rather than overwhelming information. Training day starts with an asana practice, and includes a 30 min lunch and 45 minute dinner break. 8 CEUs are available.
