Collaboration Is The Key
What do you get when yoga studios unite?
Collaboration at its best!
During last Yoga Teacher Training weekend, Machelle Lee from Roots and River Yoga presented her Functional Anatomy Immersion Workshop to our yogis in training.
What a beautiful weekend of wisdom shared in a safe, heart-opened, community space.
As humans, we evolved living in community.
Thriving in a state of unity with our neighbors.
Collaboration is the very essence of our survival.
When we collaborate, we connect, we support, we share, and most importantly— we nurture, are nurtured and can grow.
When we are coming from a place rooted in competition, we connect with our neighbors, with Creation, with ourselves, from a place of lack.
Not enough-ness.
Scarcity.
In Yoga Philosophy there are the Five Virtues or Universal Moralities (Yamas).
Aparigraha is the last of the Yamas; which means the practice of non-greed or non-hoarding.
When we are in a scarcity mindset, we cling to what we believe there is not enough of, and thus, we make it so.
If we are in competition with our community and with our neighbors, we believe that there is not enough-ness to go around.
We begin hoarding and forget the very purpose of our actions, which is to support our community and grow together.
When we are in a state of collaboration —enough-ness— we not only support one another’s success, but we are able to greatly increase the support, healing and growth of our neighbors.
When Yoga Studios unite and embrace collaboration, our forces come together to make an even BIGGER impact, and that dearest friend, is the ultimate goal.
We are so incredibly grateful for all of our collaborators out here doing this work with us.
It is for our students and community that we do this work, and it is through togetherness that we stand stronger to make an impact.
We all have our unique gifts that we’re meant to share with the world, and when we share them whole-heartedly, in collaboration with our neighbors, we move mountains and contribute to building a world where there is enough for everyone.
Love is ever abundant, and we love you so much for being a part of this beautiful, collaborative community.
Thank you for moving mountains with us <3.
