Retreat to Thailand | June 21 thru June 30, 2025
Listen. Learn. Serve.
Led and hosted by Beccah Bartlett, longtime volunteer and Yogamour Outreach Coordinator, this immersive retreat invites you on a life-changing journey to Northern Thailand. Experience golden temples, lush mountains, vibrant culture, and the warmth of communities we have partnered with for nearly 20 years.
This unique volunteer retreat blends mindful adventure with meaningful service, offering daily yoga, meditation, cultural immersion, and hands-on support. Explore the charm of Chiang Mai through cooking classes, Dharma talks, and temple visits before heading to Mae Tange, where we will volunteer at a local school and continue our work with mobile health clinics in Doi Saket.
Each day begins with yoga and reflection, followed by afternoons filled with connection, learning, and unforgettable experiences. Evenings may include hikes, traditional Thai meals, dancing, or quiet conversations under the stars.
This retreat is more than a trip. It is an invitation to expand, give back, and discover your place in a global community. Whether you are teaching, creating, or simply showing up with an open heart, you will make a lasting impact and take home memories that stay with you forever.

Please know that all activities are optional. This is your adventure, and we encourage you to participate in a way that feels right for you. There is no expectation to do everything. Some experiences may be more intrepid than others, but we will always provide details in advance so you can make an informed choice.
For example, there is a scenic 4-mile hike included in the itinerary. For those who prefer a shorter walk, we will divide into two groups and offer transportation to the top of the mountain so everyone can enjoy the overlook comfortably.
Daily yoga will be an all-levels flow, thoughtfully tailored to the group’s energy and needs. Our goal is to create a supportive space where you feel inspired, nurtured, and completely at ease.

Over the past 20 years of working closely with our partner communities in Northern Thailand, we have built lasting relationships based on trust, collaboration, and shared purpose. Each retreat is intentionally shaped by both the current needs of the community and the unique strengths of our group. Prior to departure, we will hold a few virtual meetings to get to know one another and assess the skills and interests of our volunteers.
No matter your background or experience, there is something meaningful you can contribute. Past projects have included organizing vision and dental clinics with local and volunteer doctors, supporting environmental cleanup efforts, offering nutrition workshops, leading movement or art sessions for schoolchildren, and creating joyful field days for underserved schools.
If you are wondering “what could I possibly offer,” know that our volunteers have ranged in age from 12 to 80 and come from all walks of life including students, artists, dancers, educators, doctors, and lawyers. What matters most is your willingness to show up with an open heart. We are here to help you connect with your purpose and contribute in a way that feels authentic and impactful.
