Ecstatic Dance with GG Empowers

  • Yogamour Yoga and Healing Arts Center 1 Worman's Mill Ct, Suite 11 Frederick, MD, 21701 United States (map)

Join us for a celebration! We’ll begin with engaging, high-energy practice combining freeform dance, breathwork, affirmations, and intentional somatic activation. This isn’t just dance; it’s a space where conscious movement meets creative, playful expression, helping to shake off what no longer serves you and reconnect with your liberated self. After movement, we’ll transition into a restorative sound bath, where the soothing vibrations of crystal bowls, chimes, and vocal melodies will guide you into profound relaxation and integration. Leave feeling lighter, clearer, and more connected to your creative, embodied essence.

Participants can expect: 45 minutes of somatic dance, 30 minutes of free flow dance, 45 minutes of sound healing, and 15 minutes of group discussion to integrate the experience. Come as you are - no dance experience needed, only an open mind and heart!

What is the Somatic Activated Healing Method?
The Somatic Activated Healing (SAH) Method is a wellness practice that uses movement, breathwork, meditation, and affirmation to facilitate emotional and spiritual healing. It's a "bottom-up" approach, focusing on the body and sensations as the entry point for healing, rather than thoughts and memories. This method aims to help individuals release emotional baggage, build resilience, and experience a deeper connection with their authentic selves.

Participants can expect:
~ Carefully designed movements help release emotional charges stored in the body, allowing for safe emotional expression without reliving past trauma.
~ Rhythmic breathwork is used to bring awareness back to the body, ground individuals in the present moment, and facilitate the release of stored emotions.
~ Meditation to help cultivate concentration, allowing individuals to observe their feelings without getting caught up in the stories attached to them.
~ Positive affirmations are used to reinforce a new inner vocabulary and mindset, promoting a more positive and resilient outlook.

Potential Benefits of the SAH Method:
~ can help individuals release emotional baggage and process stagnant energy.
~ individuals can become more resilient in the face of life's challenges.
~ foster a deeper connection with one's body and authentic self.
~ help individuals develop a healthier relationship with their thoughts and emotions.
