Kites are light and free. We want every child to feel that way as they use their imagination to bring an image to life and watch it FLY! Each 1 Teach 1 founder, Danica Warden, was awarded an individual National Endowment of the Arts grant from the Frederick Arts Council and donated the grant towards supporting this wonderful project! Admission and supplies are FREE to participants. Designed for ages 9-15. 

The project consists of 100 kites, hand-painted by Fredrick County youth, to be displayed to the public as an art installation at the Delaplaine Art Center in June 2023! E1T1, Inc. and Cynthia Scott-Johnson (of Gaslight Gallery) are collaborating to bring numerous kite painting sessions with youth throughout Frederick that offer them the opportunity to express themselves through art. Participants have the opportunity to show off their work to family and friends throughout the entire month of June!
