Support Community Agriculture! 🍇🍎🥕🍄‍🟫

Hi Friends,

Yoga is defined by "yoke". As in yoking a cart to a horse, connection, community! We use these ancient teachings as an opportunity to bring people together and also connect communities together. Last year we started a partnership with Moon Valley Farms. A local, organic farm right in our backyard of Woodsboro, MD. We joined together to offer a pick up spot for their CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) which offered DTF residents a local alternative for their organic produce. It also gave students a reason to get up early for a Hot Yoga practice!

Cute story- One morning in Hot Yoga, a lovely lady came to class. She seemed so familiar. Afterwards, I approached her and I told her I just can’t figure out where I know her from. She told me that she owned Moon Valley Farms and she finally had the opportunity to come to the studio to practice. I was tickled and I remembered where I knew her from. A few years ago MPT (channel 26) aired a program on Maryland Farms and I watched it thinking how proud of was to watch this strong woman running a farm right her in Woodsboro. And now… she was in my Yoga class. -Jaime
