The powerful mind-body connection that is found through yoga is an incredible tool to use in the healing of trauma. So many of us have experienced trauma on some level throughout our lives, sometimes without ever experiencing a dramatic, ‘traumatizing’ event. The ‘trauma’ may simply show up as chronic stress or anxiety, low self-esteem, chronic pain and auto-immune conditions, or the inability to focus on the present. These are all things that can be eased, transformed, and even eradicated through a trauma-sensitive yoga approach!
Join Louise Holcomb for a 6-week series of classes for women informed by trauma theory and chakra work, which provides a framework for self-healing and empowering ourselves and each other. Each week we will focus the class on a different major chakra (energy center) of the body and explore related yoga and mindfulness practices and uplifting interactive work to facilitate the healing of trauma and relief of anxiety.
This series is open to all who identify as female or non-male, and will be a closed group once we begin the series – each class held is a safe space to share, connect, and grow together.
