Take your yoga practice into the air! This class is perfect for those new to aerial and as well as for those who have taken a few classes but are still learning. In this 90-minute session, you will learn the basics of aerial yoga; Hannah and Sally will guide you through the use of the hammock for support on the ground, for support while seated or standing, and for support while inverted. You’ll discover that the hammock will enable you to expand your flexibility and explore poses that you may be unable to do in a mat class. Plus, it’s really, really fun!
Hammock heights vary by individual, so to give us time to adjust yours, please arrive at least 10 minutes before the class begins. Wear a shirt that covers your armpits and stays put (for inversions), refrain from wearing oils, perfumes and/or lotion (the hammocks absorb all odors), and bring a mat if you have one. Aerial yoga is NOT recommended for individuals who are pregnant, have had recent surgery, or suffer from motion sickness. Class size is limited to 10, so assure yourself a hammock by registering early.
*Aerial classes must be prepaid, and participants must be at least 13 years old.
