In this 3-day training comprised of 20 hours, we will learn how to adapt poses to make yoga accessible to everyone. We will sequence entire classes though while gentle in design, still maximize a myriad of physical and mental benefits. A large portion of this workshop will be focused on adapting yoga poses to work well in a chair or a seated position. We will incorporate pranayama, chanting, meditation, and yoga nidra as integral parts of class structure. Scientific studies that support the benefits of yoga will also be included in lecture and discussion.
This training will be held Yogamour Studio, and is great for yoga teachers who would like to include Chair Yoga in their offerings. This training is also available for those who would like to expand their own knowledge base and learn the intricacies of a seated chair yoga practice, or how to use a chair as a prop in a yoga practice.
