Practical Anatomy for Yoga Teachers with Nicole Teal
This 8-hour training day focuses on functional movement, shoulder mechanics, and intelligent sequencing. We’ll begin with a quick review of foundational concepts (compression, tension, proportion, orientation) before exploring different joint types and how they influence stability, mobility, and range of motion in yoga practice. Special attention will be given to the spine; including the lumbar, thoracic, and cervical regions, and how to support healthier movement patterns in common postures. Through movement, discussion, and hands-on exploration, teachers will learn how to recognize compensation patterns and create more supportive alignment cues. Expect practical information, applicable teaching tools, and space to connect anatomy directly to real classroom experience.
